Poem -

The Light Seekers

The Light Seekers

When the heavens open with God's final reveal
Behold, with eyes wide open, His provision to heal
A brighter day is coming, burning like the sun
In the twinkling of an eye our spirits merge as one

We are a historical chain of light seekers
Though darkness creeps around in sneaky snake sneakers
A constant battle to discern and pursue truth
Some stand in line, puckered up to Satan's kissing booth

As long as the night brings on distractions from grace
God still shines hope upon the human race
Through His light seekers, who hold their candles up high
Darkness turns away from their brightness in the sky

Who can stand against a man with God on his side?
Sinners repent as saints, to close the great divide
Washed by the blood of a lamb, Judeh's lion king
Heaven opens up, light seekers begin to sing

Hello Sis Cherie...

And fall right back in to sin again...

Only to have to do it all over again...

Jesus's love and forgiveness, quite a train...

Sinners have the most tickets to ride...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Love n Hugs

Hi sis Sparrowsong.....Thank God for His grace and Jesus's sacrifice to cover our endless battle with sin ......As long as we seek God, He finds ways to redeem us despite ourselves....lol  I want to hold my candle high and always seek the light that keeps my candle burning....the truth in the darkness despite the world's attempts to distract and make sin acceptable and embraced.....There is a loving God that never breaks His promises, even as we struggle to keep ours...That is a love worth pursuing.  I look forward to the day when Christ returns and heals this world of its misguided ways....so much....Come, Lord Jesus come!  ;)  Love n Hugs

Hello Sis Cherie...

The time is soon, not yet...

The signs are not complete...

As long as we remain ignorant and dormant they will have to explain...

Christians are held at a much standard...

When we know right from wrong and we do it anyway...

He's very forgiving to those who have not heard of Him and weren't taught His teachings and those who never heard the word...

Convince yourself Christians have a license to sin...

He can take away your right to drive...

Love n Hugs again

P.S. Why would we want to put a Road block between Him, us and His blessings?

I don't think most people would want to do that.....but we are vulnerable in our flesh. (Matthew 26:41) The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.  Someday we will be made perfect as Christ. “When he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2). If the Scriptures didn’t make it so plain, we wouldn’t have the gall to make this up, even in our wildest dreams. But the apostle Paul tells us we “will appear with him in glory” (Colossians 3:3), and that awaiting us is “an eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:16). Jesus himself prays to the Father about us, “The glory that you have given me I have given to them” (John 17:22), and perhaps most shocking of all, Peter says we will “become partakers of the divine nature” (2 Peter 1:4).   This beautiful state is what the light seekers desire, and in that desire....love others and want to draw near to God....That is all my write is about.....I respect your opinions, sis.  xo  ;)

I certainly do not think being a Christian means having a license to willfully sin, and we should be held accountable to show the world God's love and not behave as the world does, flippantly doing whatever without worrying about consequences of actions.   But by nature, we were born of flesh and after the fall we are vulnerable to its temptations.  We are all sinners, and Jesus knew we would not be able to abstain, therefore His sacrifice covers us.  He took on our sins even as He was sinless, to redeem us and make us blameless before His father.  Just by knowing He did that for us, makes me want to know a God that loves us so much, even as we fail him....He does not abandon us....Light seekers are not perfect, only wanting to draw near that which is love and be used to show Him to the world and give hope to those who may not know of God's presence.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. (John 3:17)  Heaven is closer than we know....I feel it and seek that which heals... ;)  Love n Hugs

Thank you, Wayne.....My personal faith of convictions is in this one.   I find that the older I become, the more my pursuit is to understand life beyond this veil we know in the flesh....to want to draw to the truth of why we were all created....a greater purpose than we can comprehend....so I hold my life candle up to honor the One that sparked the flame....Thank you for such kind support.  xo  ;)  ((hugs))

He certainly convicts me when I mess up and that's always been good enough for me...

It is good enough for me too.....The older I get, the more I hear and feel His will over my own and I am blessed for it.....to understand that even when I feel weak, He is there to keep working with me to make me molded to His will.  He loves us all so much...and once we truly understand that, it sure changes our perspective of the world and how we want to fit into it....We want to please Him...but if we fall, He is still there to give us another chance...xo ;)
