Poem -

Till we meet again

Till we meet again

Only in those pictures,
You look like a puzzle.
Your name, your purpose
Your identity, a riddle..
But the truth?
A mystery already solved.
All your hidden secrets,
Already unravelled.
The day I met you,
Mesmerized like a child.
In your clear black eyes,
Curiosity ran wild.
With bated breath,
I would wait,
After your departures,
For our next date.
Smiling at the thought,
My heart races.
Wouldn't be long,
Yet it seemed like ages.
Day after day,
I knew you better.
Bits and pieces,
All coming together.
A domino effect,
Your masks tumbled,
Revealing to me,
The burdens you juggled.
Yet,
Your love,
It never wavered.
With a smile,
You still endured.
In a hellish nightmare.
Family you found,
Suffered together,
But never stayed bound.
Our time together,
Slipped through my fingers,
All my hopes,
Burned to cinders.
Almost real,
You stay in my memories.
And when dejected,
I go back to them with ease.
But the truth?
You are a problem solved,
And my interest in you,
It’s long gone.
Now that I know,
What’s left to find?
Knowing all there is to know,
It’s no fun to rewind.
Yet,
I wait,
To meet you again someday.
And on that day,
I'll wish my memories away.
So you'll be,
A puzzle again.
And with each moment,
I'll fall for you again.
