Poem -

Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday

Yesterday, I heard you cry.
You said it was stupid of me
not to try.
How could I lie,
I didn't want you to die.

Today I saw a butterfly,
today was also the day you died.
I didn't cry,
but I wanted to.

Tomorrow I'll be at your grave,
bearing flowers and a note
that could've saved
your life.
But I forgot to slip it into your pocket.
No one knew you were so sad,
I guess you shocked them.

In a year,
I'll be right by your side,
and you'll no longer be sad.
But now we're together,
because I too,
have died.
