Violet Hill

Violet Hill I love you still
what can I do for you ?
To bring back your smile
If I walk 20 miles
It would be worth itĀ
I crusade in vain
In conquests so insane
Turning time into a symbol
Making memories of dust
I am reckless in measure
I afford you your good pleasure
So when do you return?
I stand in dictation
No other ways of copingĀ
A prince in exile
From his kingdom of stones
No banners raisedĀ
No knights to bury
Only the rain on this endless day

burnt to a crisp again
