Poem -

Waiting in the Waterfall

Waiting in the Waterfall

There were wondrous whispers coming from the waterfall
Sacred secrets cascading down in her love’s altar call
She laid her body down in healing waters of confession
As the ache for him flooded her in affection’s collection

All her sensual dreams ran in streams of great magnitude
Showering desire’s thoughts, diving down, stirred in amplitude
What a rush to almost feel his touch in gushing reverie
Spilling over her skin, akin to where his pleasure would be

She can’t control the undulating pull of her emotions
A waterscape pours from her heart’s fountain of devotion
Only his embrace can appease her waves of passionate pangs
Only his love’s grace may shape the flow of her harangues

Until then, she wraps herself in the waterfall’s rivulet
Unabashed to lay in wait, in its cascade, all soaking wet
Surely, he will find her, remind her of enduring stay
When he joins her forever in love’s fun cascading spray

Thank you, Marion.  I have a  playful side to me that likes to write sometimes...and I found the picture and the metaphorical imagery and idea came to me...I love waterfalls, and they can be so romantic to think about a couple playing together under the cascading water.  I am happy you felt the longing as intended in this one.  I appreciate your comments. xo ;)

Beautiful, longing, aching write. Gorgeous lines throughout, flowing directly from your beautiful, waterfall heart!
Absolutely loved that! You are THE greatest love writer, so passionate, and amazing.
Beautiful.

Thank you, Matthew!  I love waterfalls.  I have always wanted to go to Hawaii and see some of the spectacular ones I have heard are there.  My friend Jaclyn went on her honeymoon there, and said it was gorgeous.  It was easy to write about something I find romantic to create a yearning kind of feeling of love.  The picture I found was perfect for what I was trying to create.  I am glad you felt the passionate nature of this metaphorical write. You are the best!  ;)  Love n Hugs  Cheerie

My Dear Cherie,

She lays alone, as the water falls
It incites such pounding passion, then out for him she calls
She knows he soon will be there, to kiss her waiting lips
And join in the gyration, of her undulating hips

All my love,
Larry xxx

Hi dear Larry....lol...Your poetic verses made me laugh this time....You really made it sexy....Made me smile.  I have always had this fantasy of making out under a waterfall...Wouldn't that be romantic?  Have you and Linda in all your travels ever had that opportunity?  It just seems so beautiful.  I am glad you got that yearning feeling I wanted for this one....Hopefully her lover will join her soon...lol  Love n Hugs, xo

My Dear Cherie,

In answer to your question, the only waterfall Linda and I have made out in, was under the shower.  Ha, Ha!
But your words played such a strong sexual symphony, that their music guided my pen.
"OOH LA LA"

Love,

Lol....Well, a shower is nice too!  ;)  I doubt I will ever get the chance to be in a waterfall, but it has always been a fantasy of mine.  Your response made me smile.  You and Linda share romance in your every day time together, and that is so inspiring.  xo ;)  Love n Hugs

" WATER FALLS, " WATER COLOURS ".....NOT, WATER PUMPS ? " !!! :) :) You, see the " RAINBOW. " Where, sunlight comes through, the " openings ", caused by rock intrusion. You, see the prism " effect " of Physics and formation. You, see the natural.....in all its majesty ?
Why, would you not ? Considering, a " love " of all things, rural. And, harmonious " ritual " spiritual, reflecting the glory of evolutionary processes, " flung " from Gods hand !! :) The " big bang " leads to interesting phenomenon, in deed, and in " thought " !! Does it not ?
You, leave nothing to chance, here, floating on a " wave " of excess...... drawn to the Plunge Pool.
How, can any deny your commitment to " educate ", as well as stimulate, " fieldwork trips " paying tribute to the most " symbolic " of forms ? To, bring fruitful diversions from the artificial synthetic, so illusionary, at times. IT, DOES NOT PRODUCE A RESPONSE, LIKE THIS. Why, would, it ? !!! :) :)
Take pride. In your performance. And, in your perception.
YOU, DO NOT NEED IMAGINATION. To, see, light. To, see, truth. To, see, what matters.....around us.
Neat conceptualization of intrinsic needs, for life-giving " properties " !!! And, the resulting sensory rewards.
XX :) !!

Hi Richard.  Thank you.  I love waterfalls,  I have always wanted to play in one and be in awe of its natural beauty in nature and feel God's presence.  It made an easy metaphorical write to use its imagery to represent a woman's emotions and thoughts pouring out of her as she waits for love to find her in its healing water.  I am pleased you see my writing as a way to educate and stimulate...That motivates me in how I see my own writing.  Thanks, Richard.   You are the best. xo ;)
