Poem -

When Shadows Seem to Hide the Sun

Every Nuance of Love

When Shadows Seem to Hide the Sun

When shadows seem to hide the sun
Racing to overcome my senses
I surrender, seduced by a scene
The dream of passionate consumption
I recognize the radiance of love
In a startling revelation…

He loves with a fierceness of intent
And I have spent a lifetime
Missing out on such devotion
Every notion of my heart
Tells me I can allow my soul
To tremble in his presence…

Where I can finally get lost
And never want to be found
Ignoring the sound of hesitation
For the freeing sensation
Of feeling absolutely everything
Each shade of his masculinity’s imprint…

As love’s passage and right for waiting
No more debating if shadows hide the sun
For the truth has nowhere to run
It shall shine in his eyes like glory’s claim
It may shame me for my confusion
Revealing the perfect conclusion…

Of every nuance of love

Wow...beautiful.
(However, I'm not sure where you got that picture of me, and I'm not sure if I authorized it's usage. I'm thinking of contacting my lawyer...but I don't have one, so I'm contacting my therapist instead, as we speak. But, she just told me I'm an idiot, so don't worry).
You're a wonderful writer, my friend, truly. You ooze love(there's a medication for that now), and it's wonderful.
(Note: Please disregard my kidding, as it's beautiful).
That was so gorgeous and longing, and sweet. I can always relate to your writes so clearly!
These are a few of my favorite lines:(isn't that a Christmas carol?):

'Where I can finally get lost
And never want to be found'

Love that, I've always wanted to be lost there.

And,

'For the truth has nowhere to run
It shall shine in his eyes like glory’s claim'

Beautiful.

You are the Queen of Qlove, my friend.

I think I read this 4 times already.

Wonderful, Cheerie.
Love and hugs,
Matthew.

Lol...You are funny Matthew!  I actually could not find the picture I had in mind for this poem.  I wanted a man staring into the sun with light all around him...but I could not find that...so this beefcake man in the shadows had to do...lol.
I think sometimes we miss out on life and love, and stay in the shadows and miss the brilliance that love can give us.  I have always been the type of woman who makes sure everyone around her she cares about is taken care of....and not had gumption to really decide what she wants...too afraid of surrendering fully to the potential of something healing and benevolent. I am a people pleaser....and I see this in you as well...It is hard to see in our own lives how to make things right...but in others we can quickly want to come to the rescue...lol
Thank you for understanding my heart so well, my friend. Your support and comments mean so much.  Love n Hugs, Cheerie ;) xo

Hey J!  Thank you so much!  I am so honored by your pin!  I think you are such a great poet, and to receive such support is exciting.  I think the shadows have always been in my way in life...blocking the potential for sun to show the truth and be beautiful....It is a curse..and influenced this write.  I am a people pleaser, and this is especially true in matters of the heart...wanting to make people I care about happy, and not knowing what is best for me....

Lol...You have a true poet's heart, Jill...I get so obsessed with poetry that I even write poems down on my sermon bulletin while I am in church as I am inspired.  I should feel guilty!  But I figure God understands that I must write and worship inspires me.  I write on gum wrappers or whatever I find in my car while driving when inspiration hits...so I understand!  ;)

Hi,
I saw you guys talking and figured I better interject.
I once wrote a 40 stanza poem on my ear with a blow torch when I had no other instruments available. It hurt.
OK, sorry.

I love you guys!

Matthew.

Lol...Matthew, I need to take a sledgehammer to your brain, my friend....You are not thinking! Blow torches do not work on your ears to write....only on metal!  I bet you have some nasty scars!  Try sticking to pens and pencils...  ;)

Thanks Cheerie(although you're a terribly violent friend(??). LOL. You could sledgehammer my head anytime, I would so enjoy that.
No, I'm OK. You saw my picture on your poem, I'm not that worse for wear.

Hi Terry...lol....Sometimes life hides from us those things that should be out in the open...and we have to try to figure them out despite the shadows of confusion.  That picture is not what I had in mind for this poem, but it had the element of shadows and light which I wanted....lol...Thanks, Terry  Love n Hugs

Hi Lorris...It is original and not a rewrite...just going with the rhythm of my heart I suppose as you say..lol  I love to represent love in many different perspectives...I am happy you get that.  Share the love my friend. Thank you for your support.  xo ;)

My Dear Cherie,

The shadows of the Sun brought darkness
It's warmth then turned to chill
For lovers who would break my heart
And make my sad tears spill

.
But my Soulmate showed me the brilliance
Of the Sun that finally lit my fire
One touch, and I felt such passion
And uncontrollable desire

All my love,
Larry xxx
