Eastern village
This is an abstract of an oriental tree with nearby chinese or Vietnamese huts. It is done in acrylic on canvas and it measures 50cm x 40cm. The sky is painted in vertical strokes, not horizontal, and when viewed with the naked eye it appears more photolike than the rest of the painting. It is an ominous sky delivering the illusion of rain or an imminent downfall achieved with the vertical blended strokes. The sky is black and white. I was pleased with the result and I intend to complete it at some point by adding people of that region of the world.
