UPDATE : F-117 Stealth Fighter Glider

***FLIGHT UPDATE #1***
Yesterday Sunday June 29th at around 5:45 p.m., I began adding weight to the bottom of the nose tip area to find the correct C.G. (center of gravity) for proper flight and located it at the 11 1/8" mark from the nose tip. It's overall length is exactly 28" from the nose tip to twin vertical tail tips.
Then at exactly 6 p.m., it flew fast and in a very straight path but not very far. I would estimate maybe to about a 25-30 foot distance at around 3-4 feet high.
It was more of a "short hop" than anything else but at least it was a start.
The fact that it flew so quickly and stable ( without a computer or extra aerodynamic assistance such as wing fences / strakes, was a phenomenal feat in itself ! )
I was both happy and frankly, a little bit baffled at the same time.
Moving on, I will continue to test it at a more proper location such as a larger park. Lack of time forced me to do this first test hop at a much smaller grass strip with limited resources. Nonetheless, I thought to include it in this first preliminarily report.

Besides making art, I also produce free flight glider replicas every so often such as this example. I don't make too many, because I wouldn't have where to put them all. Just completed this compact model of an F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Fighter. I used very light weight tracing paper for the main wing and twin vertical stabilizers. Fuselage is mainly thin cardboard sheets (frozen pizza boxes) with (2) amber tinted plastic side windows. Front canopy windows are permanently painted with silver framing.
It is also equipped with (4) front intake mesh
vents and a simulated exhaust vent system/escape for main oncoming front airstream.
1st test flight is now pending.
Full Length : 28 inches
Wing Span : 17 inches
Height : 4 inches
