Family (Finished)
This is a work in progress as a christmas present for my wifes's nan and grandad, there will be in total 25 mini portraits (14 great grandchildren, 9 grand children and 1 son and 1 daughter) as well as a family tree in the background all done in graphite on A2 card, there were 2 more added last night so 15 done only 10 to go, wish me luck hahahaha

What an especially wonderful idea and gift for any nan and grandad, they are going to be overwhelmed!! Can't think of a better present John! You have started it brilliantly. With portraits it is hard to see likeness when you don't know the people, but somehow I can imagine you have captured them very well!!
Good luck with the rest it is no mean feat and I am sure you will rise to the challenge! Can't wait to see the completed piece :)

I don't get home till about half seven every evening, then by the time i have my dinner and walk the dog at night i'm bloody cream crackered. I must admit taking longer than I thought. so bollocks to it, they can have a vase instead hahaha ;)

I am really impressed John, this is becoming a real gem of a family tree!! I take my hat off to you as I said before this is no mean feat and you have taken it on and done a fantastic job up to now. Keep going lol, can't wait to see the finished piece! I however would be not so cruel as to judge it for nomination on a completed piece, imo you have most definitely proved your art on this job and it's a big vote and nomination from me John. My favourite piece of yours up to date :)
Thank you so much Rachel, that is really kind of you :), I must admit taking longer than I expected ( each one has taken about three hrs) but I am really pleased with it so far . I have added another 2 so only 8 left lol :)

Finally finished :)
John you have clearly put your heart and soul into this drawing; I am sure your family are very proud of you, and what a beautiful gift just in time for Christmas. If I could vote again I would lol!! Just realised I had not put my nom in last time, so sorry don't know how that happened. Well it's a big nom from me now lol!!! And to you and yours Rachel, I'm just happy I finally got it finished in time. more work than I realised lol, but came out better than I expected :) so I am very proud of this one :)
Just to let you know guys, My wife's nan and grandad received their portraits on Boxing Day and absolutely loved it, her nan even shed a few tears (which nearly set me off lol )
