First Dance
I used acrylic on wood but the paint lost its luster after it dried so to pick up the colors I brushed a light metallic gold over everything. The painting changes depending on how the light hits it as the heads look brighter in this light. I cropped it a bit also as there is a shadow effect of the dancers on the bottom but it was hard to get it all in the photo.

I can imagine that in the flesh this is really effective Dawn. I love the subtle effect of the dancers that come through really strong. You can see their poise, it's lovely! I really like the gold you've used too. A vote from me:)
Thanks Rachel. The gold was a bit of fluke but luckily it worked well. The only downside is that it reflects light, the figures can be best seen where there's little reflection.
This is so mesmerizing...like they are just sinking into the scene...soft and elegant It took me somewhere..Big vote from me! x
