In His Hands

Cherie....That's just how I visioned Him grabbing my hands when I cried out to Him....I have never let go since.  He is my LOVE...and I am in awe that I am His. I have been a Christian since I was 18 years old. I am 55 now.   I had faith to move mountains.....but, I did not understand His love.  I fell away because of family problems, and pain...my children were molested by a family member...and by another man also.  It caused so much pain and separation in our family.  It rocked my faith...but I still believed that God heard my prayers for protection for my children against child sexual abuse....so I told my daughter..."my prayers for you did not go out void, God will turn this tradgedy around for His glory...just watch, He will use you to help 100's of children who have been hurt like this".  Well, this was true.  After living a life of pain, my daughter gave her life to Christ, and gave Him her pain too.  At 18 she wrote a book and had it published (her diary) Stolen Innocence by Erin Merryn....She then went on to write 2 more...graduated with a masters in social work...then was prompted by God to quit her job and go after a LAW that would teach kids how to "speak up", mandated in schools Kindergaten-12th....She did quit her job...she has passed ERIN's Law in 26 states...and President Obama just signed a bill for it to be funded Nationally.  Erin has been on many, many, talk shows, including Oprah, Good Morning America, CNN, Katie Curic.  She was also named Glamor top 10 women of the year in 2012.  She has been in People Magazine for "25 people who are changing the world", and well the list goes on....Cherie....THIS IS GOD ALMIGHTY, who hears our prayers, and loves when we TRUST and know that He hears and that...HE Is GOD!  And HE LOVES us.  The only thing we can give him.....TRUST.  During the bad years...I did fall away from God...and when my kids went to college, I started hanging out with friends from work, going out for dinners and drinking wine...enjoying life....until the alcohol...snuck up on me...and got me in a choke hold.  I was addicted...I couldn't quit....after 6 years....I was desparate...I knew my life was a train wreck...I didn't want to turn to God because, I knew He could take it...and I was so addicted, I didn't want it taken.  So I cried that TRUTH out to Him, "Lord, I am a mess, I don't want to even pray this prayer because I don't want you to take this from me, it makes me feel good, Lord, I am in trouble.  Please Help me."  And Cherie, I heard Him Loud and clear, a whisper in my heart and ear...He said, "don't worry about quitting Bekki, I will take it from you...all you have to do is meet me everyday....by talking to Him in prayer, and reading His word (the Bible).  Just spend time with Jesus.  And so I did.....Cherie....I could write a book....OH DID HE MEET ME!  OUR God is alive and well and in the business of Miracles and showing up in our Lives when we seek HIm.  I am in AWE.  It has been 2 1/2 years since that prayer....3 months after I prayed it the drinking was SO GONE....dreams and visions...oh I praise Him, He has blessed me beyond words.  "In His Hands".
