Tina- I would love to paint a portrait for you.  Check your messages.  Let me know what you think.

Jimmy- I've been nominated and have won one of these contests, I was just wondering why they didn't want to choose the Ellen & Portia artwork.  After I saw it wasn't nominated I decided to enter another one and it was chosen. :)

Shah- Thank you for your interest :)

it is very realistic, life like and tells a story of two people who love and care about each other trying to make it in the big city and spending a little time enjoying the day off, I think, but I am not an art critic.

Is she his daughter or a small lady ?

This is a description of the movie "The Longest Week":  When Conrad’s (Bateman) wealthy parents took a 20 year vacation to Paris, they left him to be raised by their Hotel staff at the age of 11. Now in his early 30’s, Conrad’s troubled life is filled with chasing girls, relaxing, and enjoying all the comforts of a prestigious hotel. However, all that changes when his parents’ divorce, ending his trust fund and forcing him out on the street. After some advice and 200 dollars from his therapist, hilarity ensues as Conrad begins his new life. Broke, homeless, and single, Conrad moves in with an old friend, Dylan(Crudup), while trying to sort his life together. Conrad finally meets the girl of his dreams, Beatrice (Wilde) and realizes this is the girl to turn his life around; although he soon discovers she is actually Dylan’s girlfriend! Will he be able to keep his friendship with Conrad and still win over the love his life, or does everything come crashing down as he is in way over his head?

Hi Meenakshi,

Yes I did :). When I was young, my mother sent me to watercolor class.  Most of the time the teacher would take over, though.  I am self taught and I got my artistic abilities from my dad.  He liked drawing and painting portraits.  I know that there are a lot of people who are like me who have a talent like mine.  Thanks for the kind words.

I have a page called Laurie White artist-for-the-Stars.  I haven't had anyone interested in commissioning a portrait from me.  Well, I did have one and they decided they didn't have the money to get the portrait anymore.
