Koi Fish

I have never drawn a fish before but after looking at different species of them I decided that Koi would be a good place to start. 

 Did you know?

- Koi in japanese basically means "carp" . Koi are all varieties of colored domesticated carp. Which is why they are able to live so well in household ponds like the one in your backyard.

- This one in particular is a Kohaku koi. Kohaku koi are white - skinned with red markings on its head.

- However no matter what color or breed they are their maximum longevity or how long they live is the same. Koi live for about 47 years at the most.
