Nan and Grandad W.I.P

Nan and Grandad W.I.P

This is a work in progress I am drawing this as a gift for my mum for mother's day, she has a couple of pictures of my Nan, but none of my Grandad, so i found a photo of them both together in the 70's at Clacton on Sea in Essex, and I thought it was a lovely photo, so going to do this for her. I Hope she likes it.

Wow, Thank you so much Rachel, yeah we have Mothers day in March and I think Fathers day is in July sometime, as for St Patrick's day I don't tend to celebrate it, even though quite a big thing over here,

Thank you so much for your lovely comment on the valentine poem it really means a lot, My beautiful Lady loved it :)

John, another wonderful keepsake.  You can see already how you are capturing that moment so beautifully.  You always manage to depict such great character in your drawings helping bring them to life.  Can't wait to see when it's finished John.  Good luck, I'm sure she will be over the moon!:)

Thank you Rachel :) i've had bloody murders with this one as the photo is so old I just couldnt get the detail so i had to scan it then apply about 20 bloody filters just to try and get some semblance of shape to the eyes. if was on small A4 or A5 i would have winged it lol.

I can't wait to see her face when she sees it :)

i come from a laaaaarge family so i know there is going to be a few that will want ones done too, as in truth most of them don't know i'm not too terrible with a pencil lol

I might just get my mum to show em a couple of stick figs hahahah

I've added a lot more detail now. The parrot is almost complete, I need to finish the Monkey off, and a lot of detailing on Nan and Grandad's clothing then start the background....going to be a loooong week lol.
