Nebula Entoptic

As an exercise and a first in 'Imitation Photography', depicted is an Entoptic meditation witnessing nebulae like configurations as the inner illumination of the eye.

Deriving its title by combining nebulae apparitions with the Entoptic phenomena, visual effects whose source is the eye itself, Nebula Entoptics conveys the spiritual dimension through the practice of recording light. Nebula (Latin for cloud) as an interstellar cloud of dust is produced for this series as a set of glass sculptures. They are then cleverly captured through photographic gels to supplement colour vibrancy and to serve an all encompassing visual narrative. 

Through this conceptual meshing together of both inner and outer worlds, the act of simple observation bestows a meditative state to the observer. Akin to the use of a Mandala, each picture of the Nebula Entoptics presents a unique spectrum for an unaltered state of consciousness.
