Shell

A picture I took several years ago (before my digital camera), of an old Shell Station sign that used to tower several feet above a Shell Service Station here in Madison, WI.

It was one of those things that people passed by a hundred times a day, and never gave it a second thought.  I however, was always fascinated by it, everytime I passed by.  

I finally got up the nerve to go out and take some pictures of it (being basically introvert, it was hard to go out on a very busy street in front of everyone, & take pictures of a sign).

Anyhoo.  I scanned one of the photos, and with some editing, I aged the picture, and tried to give it the look of an old postcard or ad, from the 50's or early 60's.

Sadly, the sign and the service station were torn down about 15 years ago.
