THE ESSENCE

The story behind the painting: It is one of my favourite paintings. I painted it after reading Essays on Aristotle's De Anima and being inspired by his quote “The energy of the mind is the essence of life”. 
What type of energy are we bringing into our days? Every thought we have and every action we take is energy. The essence of our lives is to be happy, to pursue our dreams, to feel, to be present every moment, to be connected with ourselves and the world around us. The Essence painting reflects my state of mind and inner peace that I had when I was painting it. 
When looking at the painting it feels like the colours are subtly floating, as if they were slowly moving around the canvas all the time. It has that something, that calming moment.
Energizers collection: 
The painting is from the Energizers series inspired by my spiritual and philosophical search for answers to life, the purpose of living, love, existence. I am driven by the joy of life, passion, and creative freedom. Every painting I create is a piece of my artistic answer to those questions, the result of a profound journey I take into my soul. It is really simple and so beautiful; I feel inspired by the energy of the sun, moon, and stars, by every new morning and night, by books that I love to read, by seeing a child with sparkling eyes, by a flow of positive energy that I feel around and inside me. I feel each of my paintings as a small piece of a profound wisdom blueprint in the form of colour, line, and shape.
