Throw Me a Lifeline

Throw Me a Lifeline

Can someone throw me a lifeline or at least someone throw me a pen
Then I'll jot down whats on my mind as I approach my end
All my thoughts are conflicting, reality is taking it's toll
To give you a verbal description, I'm ready to sell my soul
Will someone throw me a lifeline and reel me to the shore
I have lost all my faith in mankind, I really can't take much more
And I'd like the final inscription to be this on my tiny gravestone
He tried to reach out and get help, but a Lifeline was never thrown
