GRAPES AND OLIVES

When The sun hits
The grapes and the olives
It’s love in my eyes
When The grapes
Turn into wine and
Then we dine on olives
That’s  love in my heart
When the moon hits the ocean
That’s love in the world
As I look out over the ocean
Drinking wine and dine on olives
And listen to the singer sing
The old Neapolitan song
St Lucia that is love in my heart
That will never part when the girl
With a cart of flowers says
Sir would you like a flower
That’s love in my heart.

After reading Greg your engaging prose there's more than a tad of the romantic about you.
A poet and a ladies man and a poem that sings.
And also a poem with a much needed balm of calm.
A tender poem made to soothe.
And those olives, wine and music set the stage.
Thanks Greg and sometimes tender is better.
