You struck me like Lightning

Your presence struck my heart like lightning…
causing mixed emotions, amazingly frightening…
My mind & soul became consumed with noisy thunder…
Falling with deep thought of You, filled with wonder.

As I began to read Your Word, You pierced my heart…
It made me realize that I was wrong from the start…
Little by little You opened my eyes allowing me to see…
That I was a slave to sin & only Your truth would set me free.

How could I have been so blind, how could I not see?
That only you could drown my sins at the bottom of the sea…
My sins kept me from your truth, completely blocked my sight…
You saved me from the fire & gave me life through Jesus Christ.

Praise God! Hallelujah Jesus! Hallelujah Lord!
You are always true & faithful to your Word!
You have washed my sins away & filled me with Your light above…
Overtaking all of me with Your Holy Spirit & unfailing Love.

My heart is overflowing with your Love, joy, & peace!
You give me peace of mind & bring my life at ease…
You struck me like lightning, filling my heart with fire…
To search You Lord & serve you Jesus, is now my only desire!
