Poem -

Just A Sky

oh star,
please please believe me
when i say i really care
i long to know your purpose
as i stand down here and stare
i search about in lords and gods
to find the reasons why
but every night you still are just
A star in just a sky

Hello Marion...

This might sound silly...

I hope it doesn't...

There's a Star adoption...

I forget how much they charge?

I think you get an adoption certificate...

Why not pick a Star and name it?

It's there as a free gift...

Without a certificate...

It's not always come out in the same place...

But, I pick one and say...

Please pass it on to mine...

Thank you very much...

We can pass messages to each other...

On the next really starry night...

I will pick one and I will call it Marion...

It would be like a Message pigeon...

But, it would just be a star...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Some friends purchased a star for him and turns out it's in the vicinity of pisces, my star sign...I took a lot of comfort from that coincidence x

The ending has a real punch to it, don't it. Just like I think all poems should.

I look at the sky often. In summer I lie on the beach at night and wait for shooting stars. You inspired something in me. Thank you

Being Me

Marion, this is such a simple and yet a powerful poem. I think we all spend more than a little time looking up at the stars and wishing or wondering x
