Poem -

bright eyes

I thought you sleeping
And said so
But nothing more than moon did
glow
Her shadows roved across your
lids
Your soul bright eyes, far gone,
from me
A boat adrift, upon my sea,
And though your body's breath
was warm
A constant on my face till morn
The loneliest I'll ever be
Is when you lie, asleep, by me,

M ~

Wow, Marion, I so relate to this, deep down. I am akways glad to watch my wife sleeping (worldchampion), but the happy lies in hearing her breathe... The loneliness in fearing the day she stops breathing... Romantic: yesterday we heard the news that a former PM of The Netherlands chose his own death (he was ill) at 93 years old and his wif, also 93, of almost 70 years, chose to come along, so they died as t the same time, holding hands. And yes, I cried, even though his politics did not agree with mine...

Thanks John...yes...it is a mixed bag John..extreme closeness with extreme indifference also, as in the sleeping person is so intimately close yet completely unaware.
That is actually a beautiful thing...dying together...oh my heart! đź’•

Oh Mark you are so lovely. Thankyou for being so very supportive. I don't have any gift or skill Mark...I just write straight from the black, white, gold or red or grey...within me at any given moment. A great loss colours most of my words black these days so I'm.glad you found this one appealing...thankyou...sincerely X
