Old Timer

Old Timer

Old timer.
Reflecting.
History,
experience.
Around
the block
then back
again.
Many times.
Seasoned.
Learnerd.
Veteran
of human
existence.
Worldview
molded.
Tempered
under
fire.
Years
in the
making.
Hammer,
chiseled.
Hardened.
Battle
hardened.
Seen
much.
Stepping
aside,
bemused.
Watching
the play.
Few
surprises
as the
young
scape
their knees.
Muddle
through.

Strange when we are young we think only we were ever young. White hair and wrinkles easily overlooked. Yet you are right, you realise in the end its just more of the very same...repeating itself. Your words describe it perfectly x

Thank you Marion. So true. Wisdom takes time. Lost on the young!
