In A Hat

I am no one    In a hat
You will not notice
me pass by,  you'll only know
I had no scent   Had no presence
No intent
Yet you will seek me
with your eyes, you'll never know
Of what you search
I left no presence, gave no scent
i sought out nothing    No intent
We did not meet    We did not chat
And yet despite      The all of that  
you'll only know, we passed us by
Now you will grieve
Yet....  know not why,
