A Thing Sublime
they found it silveredĀ
with beauty
framed
and slightly dusted with
the golden sands and time
a priceless piece
of memory's dead
that once had known
the brine
had swum in worlds
IĀ hardly know
had rode theĀ secret
ocean's flow
a dream life
to such heartsĀ asĀ mine
not just a fish

No, not just a fish. All creatures have the same importance as us. More perhaps. We pillage & hurt, Ā they just want to survive. Beautifully said, Marion.Ā
I agree, I hurt more over animals than.people...I probably shouldn't say that but it's true. People can defend themselves, wildlife doesn'tĀ stand a chance...hugs x
I've seen the remains of fish like this on the beach and I always ask, "Is death really necessary?"Ā Your words paint the beauty back into a thing that was, once upon a time, beautiful.

Those endless planets and moons twirling away in the darkness will be as indifferent to our yet to be gone world as Our world is to the always present sufferring. And on that note i'm off ...im depressing myself as well as you lol.
