Poem -

Happy

I could do
With a couple more hours
Sleep with you

Before I rise
Out of white curtain sheets
And the car starts.

I could be a church-goer
On the Sabiths
For you.

We could take dance classes
On Wednesday night's
At the bowling club.

We'd volunteer for the local elections ,
Look at puppies through
Shop windows

On the way back from getting groceries,
Remind one another
Of what it was like being children.

I would find simply I couldn't do
Without you.
Imagine yourself old with me,

Aren't we as happy as we are meant to be?

Hello Rory...

Very Sweet Write...

If you are going to be looking at Puppies through a Store Window and you don't want to get drawn in for hours and end up doing puppy shopping...

Bring a different type of Animal lover...

Just adding my .02...

Enjoy your new love...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

What a stunning poem, I believe every word, takes a lot to write such a poem, your hearts on your sleeve and that my most favourite thing, to go as far as church for love well that's the icing sugar between soulmates my dear Rory. This one's a beauty. 🌹 And I love the title no hiding from the fact you are simply happy.  💙 Ps you would have won me over with the puppies. Now I'm gushing
