The kookaburra and moon on the roof

Tonight the moon has a knowledge about her.
Planetary things seem unearthly, irrelevant.
I am me, young is who I used to be. We, the moon
And I are brave. We pull the sea. The weather
Is humid, storms are coming in Queensland.
Â
The moon and I are better off than we use to be.
We are lying on the edge of your bed,
Through a window the cat comes in. We are
How we used to be, somehow more separate than
  before.
Through the cracks of the home whistles the wind.
Â
We continue to be quite the same,
On the same hot tin roof the rain falls we reclaimÂ
What once was both of ours.Â
