Christmas
Once a year

Christmas comes once a year
wrap up warm santas here
xmas lights glimming so bright
kids awaiting for santa at night
cookies and milk on the table
will santa come see the
dears and the cable
snowflakes falling on the ledge
stokkens hanging by there bed
little kids smiling waiting
patiently in bed
Sitting there thinking is it all in their head
All the presents by the tree
sitting there wondering
which ones for me
Christmas lunch turkey for all
all the trimmings are bellys are fall
xmas comes only once a year
save up properly for
a good Christmas cheer.

Hello Jessica...
We didn't have to have to have to manage quite like that...
That was the choice the people made...
Looks like they changed their mind and is hoping that the truth will bring Next Year a much better one...
It's going to take time of 4 years of disaster...
It could have been worse...
We could have gotten 8...
If I knew then when my children were young what I know now...
I would have convinced my children we were Jehovah Witnesses...
I still would want to celebrate their Birthdays...
That hurt Mommy until the meds kicked in...
These mother's pop them out like it's melted butter...
I would have 20...
Why not?
If I could afford them...
We wouldn't have to celebrate Birthdays...
An incredible Christmas indeed!
Great write!
Thank you for sharing...

I have not felt the touch of Christmas this year yet. In recent years the magic of it has gone. Your poem has given me a glimpse of the magic. A lovely poem x
