Who Discarded the Red Rose?

Who Discarded the Red Rose?

Who discarded her heart
and defoliated like a flower
after the storm has gone and passed?
Why did you cast an arrow and pierce her feelings
as you did not perceive
how long would take for her to start the healing?
She loved you but you could not see
how lovely she would be under the moonlight
if you didn’t close your eyes
because the moon was so bright
and you were afraid of loving her
and having your heart in fire alight.
How happy you and she would together be
if you did not get afraid
to open your eyes and see
how beautiful she really is.
Tell me,
who discarded the red rose?
If you lift her up you'll see
how tender her heart is
under the morning star
seen from up and close.
--How lovely it would be!

P.S.  Yes, breaking hearts is a
terrible thing to do. Sad thing is,
there are many people out there
suffering from it.

Personally I believe a heart can always heal ... eventually. It is the soul that can never repair. A lovely write B, tenderly written with empathy x
