Poem -

Red Jam

this day is luke warm
like the toast like the tea
this table is too full

around it we three all have

dull eyes and dull thoughts
and glue tongues
and words doneĀ

the curses withheldĀ
the niceties rot
Yet see still, we touch hands,
as red jam in its pot

is passed round

Wow in-direct touch so harsh and brings back my own memories of loneliness numbness and thoughts of simply being void of feeling. Only you could write this in this way so perfectly. You are an incredible word smith dear Marion. 🌹
