Ice on the Petals

lamenting she had too many thorns,
and as they hurt, her tears became a river
of colours from red to blue
displaying a splendid vision
in all fragrance and hues.
As her tears flow sad and deeper,
the ancient wind said with a soft whisper:
--you cannot have one without the other
no matter what you’ve been told.
You cannot have a river of splendour
without a mountain of ice and cold.

A Rose Holds Romance. And it also holds some thorns sometimes. Great Verse.

Yes, beauty seems to have to come at a price. I love the idea of the river's colours and the wind answering. Lovely, soft write about the pain♥️
