Quiet Courage

Quiet Courage

She stands in the fierce storm -- in defiance!
Her piercing eyes cut through stone and fire.
In dignified silence she adjusts the heaviness
and lifts the shoulders higher,
Wears the burden well
amidst the storms, stones, and fire,
She’s neither a soldier nor a warrior,
but a person resilient to the bones
who carries the burden in quiet courage.

Love love love the start, B!
And the title, straight forward,
Relatable, not just for the woman, if I may say

Just checked, you do like it!
I am overjoyed if it created an impact. Yes, you may say.
This is not only about women,
its everyone (men included) who suffer and carry a burden with strength and courage to simply carrying on.

The line for me in your poem is "she's neither a soldier nor a warrior" because this means she is just an ordinary person but with a depth of courage and fortitude. I also like the adjusting of the heaviness because that is a normal thing to do as well if we are carrying something heavy. And of course the use of present tense gives your poem greater impact.
I agree with Rory when he says this poem could apply to he as well as she.
