Poem -

A Giant's Eyes

I look up at my galaxy on a cold, dark, winters night.
And I watch in amazement as the sun, moon, and earth align.
One must sometimes think, is this a magic trick?
Or is what we see really what we see.
They say the universe is never ending.
So if there is no ending then there can not be a beginning.
How small we must be in something that never ends.
There's no way I believe that we're the only beings.
I've never seen a little green martian man.
Nor have I ever witnessed a UFO about to land.
I'm just saying the universe is so huge it doesn't even have a size.
How tiny we all must look in a Giant's Eyes.

Welcome to Cosmo, Renee!
What a good start! A lovely first
poem, and I agree, we do have a feeling of awe and humbleness when we contemplate the universe.
