Poem -

perfect

quite perfect
and you never knew
so lovely you were
did I pause

to tell you
your essence was everything
your presence was all

such a beautiful man
that you were
through and through

so lovely you were
and I need to tell you
that perfect you were

though you never quite knew

Marion, guess there will always be missed opportunities in life with a  myriad of things as long each one of us possesses a beating heart and a sensitive train of thought to go with it.
With the capacity to love woven into us.
The words 'looking back over my shoulder' sprang to mind after reading.
And something more underlying.
Subtly written.
Double hugs at you Marion.

Something, or someone…just perfect the way they are.
No more, no less, just right… just perfect!    B

If only we would have said that one thing? We surely can go through life with this sort of regret, I know from personal experience, but then I think of all the lovely cherished things that were said, and as I believe actions speak louder than words, well that's says it all. ❤️
