Goodbye

Hey friends...I had this dream two nights ago. It was of the rare quality where I woke up in a state of awe...very near to tears...I could feel the world around me and every worry- every fear- melted the second my eye lids opened.
There are two houses in a plain. The one on the left I am able to jump onto in a single bound...and for some reason the second house shares this peculiar trait...but only because the first house does.
While jumping on and off of these two houses I am met by two travelers. We get on well and I am offered the opportunity to leave with them.
...Their home, they say, is in the stars...and as I sit here thinking about it I can vaguely remember them giving me specific coordinates and names, though those names escape me now...
I am given a short period of time to make my decision...my heart is churning with fears and doubts. It would be a goodbye forever. I was told that if I went with them, I could tell no one of my destination and I would never see my loved ones again.
The pain this caused me was almost unbearable, but I eventually resolved to go.
At this point, lost in thought, lost in pain, I walk to a nearby store maybe a mile from the two houses to get a snack and in the store leaving the register is a very dear friend. No detail was lost in the dream. She wore a very modest but colorful dress...there were yellows and reds...possibly maple leaves...
I follow her outside, afraid that if my eyes were averted she'd disappear forever...
We sit on the ground outside the store and I am torn. Only maybe an hour before I had rid my soul of all earthly ties, and here she sits! One final test. Though it's unclear what subject is being taught or whether its completion yields any merit whatsoever...
The dream ends...
I wake with a black haze blocking the ending, but i get the distinct, tragic...hopeful feeling that I said goodbye to that young lady and found some solace in the stars, who'd long been my friends amid every torture that life on earth had allowed me.

You've captured a keep-worthy dream my friend, it is said that the majority of dreams disappear after only 3 minutes of waking up. This was vivid (I was there with you) this was poetic (every dream has some kind of significance) and this was nostalgic (the peculiarity of this dream resonated with me)...the idea that you were able to capture this dream and in such detail means something, an amazing experience this was to read very interesting...

Well I've had a lot of practice...as a child I would have chronic nightmares coupled with chronic sleepwalking. Over the years the nightmares dissipated and more like the gem above started to occur. It was worth the trade-off...I'm glad it resonated with you.
