Dream -

Just some Dream.

Just some Dream.

This, below, is an actual dream I had a few nights ago and what follows it is a serious of events that occurred after I woke up. I do hope you enjoy.

I had awoken when I hit the ocean floor beneath a tall, concrete bridge. Where it was located? Well, I haven't even the slightest idea. Just so that you're informed, I did not actually die at the sea bed of an ocean. If I had of, you wouldn't be sitting where you are, reading this strange dream some teenager had. But, of course, you already knew that I didn't actually die. For those who still do not understand, I had died in my dream. However, that is not what makes this dream freaky. Well, death sort of is freaky—but it's the sequence of events that led up to it. You see, I remember holding onto the rail of the bridge. I was attempting to shake it with my left hand, somewhat hoping that the bridge will crumble and collapse. “Stay in the centre of the bridge!” My dad yelled.
The wind was very strong and, to make matters worse, flowing underneath the bridge was a dark, sea-blue ocean. My younger sister was attempting to shake the concrete bridge with me. As dreams usually are—This dream was unrealistic and quite vivid. How can one small human shake an entire concrete bridge with her weight until it simply collapses? Impossible. However, in your dreams—well, nothing is impossible.
No surprises here—The bridge did exactly as I wanted it to, and collapsed. My family were on the other side of the bridge screaming and waving their arms in the air (my sister somehow survived). I could hardly hear their muffled voices as I was simply falling into the ocean. And I became one with the Earth and her children.

So, that was my dream.
Pretty boring, right?

Well, here's what happened when I woke up...

I shook that dream out of my head because, hey, would that really ever ACTUALLY happen? It's not every day that you hear how some kids were shaking a bridge with their weightless bodies and the bridge collapsed. Well, you never hear that. I forgot about that vivid dream for, almost, the rest of the day.

I started my usual regular daily routine.
1.    Get dressed.
2.    Eat breakfast.
3.    Brush teeth.
4.    Go down st— Yeah, you really don't need to know my daily morning routine.

So, later on in the day, my parents decided that it would be a great idea to go to the beach. I thought that it would be nice to watch the sunset. Where I live in Australia, when the sun sets…it sets over the sea and a beautiful light display is shown in the sky. The sunsets here are one of the best in the world. If it weren't for the sunsets, I don't think it would be much of a tourist destination (unless you want to learn about the traditional native people).
The family and I stopped off and bought some Greek food from some Greek store near the beach.
We ate our food, then took a walk along the beach. Dad led us up to some jetty that people were fishing off. When I was younger, I was actually quite terrified of jetties (because there is potential death lurking) but nowadays, I was fine with walking on a jetty.
Well, I thought I was fine with it…
I took on step onto the jetty, and then kept walking. Suddenly, that dream I had came to mind. I shook it off though. This was a jetty, not a concrete bridge. However, I thought that it would be funny to make my youngest brother scared, so I told him about my dream. I'm such a great older sister.
My little brother seemed slightly wary at first, but then he was completely okay. In fact, he was SO okay that he started reminding me of the dream as I let my foot fall onto a wooden plank that creaked. I started getting really freaked out. I instantly grabbed for the rail of the jetty, but remembered what happened when I did that in my dream. I then decided that the safest place to walk is directly in the middle of the path. There were gaps between the wooden planks, which allowed me to view the deep ocean beneath me. I think I felt sick. However, I kept pushing on. My family were already walking in front of me. They were all so fearless. I felt like a total wimp… But I attempted to disguise it.
I could hear dad talking to mum about how the government just fixed the jetty not too long ago, because it was getting too old. Well, that little bit of information freaked me out heaps more. To top it all off, I looked over at dad who was looking at the wooden planks we were all standing on. He told mum something, then pressed his foot on one end of a wooden plank. Basically, the other end flipped up. That just about did it for me. “I'm getting off this thing,” I mumbled to myself more than anyone else. I suppose it was a sort of “Self Motivation” talk.
If you could see me escaping that death trap, I would have looked like a penguin waddling off. I felt silly, so I probably looked silly too.
As siblings usually are, my brother was being a complete jerk when he started running.
Wait, let me emphasise that…
My brother was being a complete jerk when he started RUNNING AFTER ME ON THE JETTY!
I sound like a total sook right now, but I was scared out of my mind. I was anxious all over, and I told him to leave me alone. He then started repeating the dream I had and told me that the jetty will snap and I will die and blah blah blah.
After what felt like decades, I made it off the jetty and sat on a big rock.

A little toddler walked up to the death trap, with his dad, looked at me and smiled as he ran onto the jetty.

Well, there's my true story. I do hope you somewhat enjoyed it. (Even if it is the worst thing you've ever read)
Now that I read over it again, it doesn't seem like that big of a deal. However, at the time, it was.
If you wish to, in the comments below, tell me if you've ever had dreams that were a deterrent for you to do something in reality. I look forward to reading :)
