To Make A Difference

I keep having this dream, over and over again. I walk through my streets, and see homeless pitching tents. Painting colors under the bridge. They reach out, for spare change, I feel bad, for I have none to spare, again. I spent my change for my family, for if I didn't, they wouldn't eat, or have a place, warm to sleep. My dream shows me a way, to support both causes. A way everyone can come together, and help put an end to this struggle so many people go through. I would be homeless myself with my alcohol addiction, had it not been for complete strangers. They took me in at my worst, and all that was asked in return, was to pass it on. I hated asking for help and they seen that. They created an area of recovery. I never asked them for help, they just would.  I have been writing and rhyming my whole life, but really writing strong for 6 years, I am 24 years old and I am finally getting out to do what is needed. We all can make a difference and help get people off of the streets, out of their addiction, out of their depression. Life is to short to hold back, so I wrote a book. It is my story, in a form of short stories (poems) and my struggle with my addiction, the ups, and downs, these poems are an aid to all. To show everyone "You Are Not Alone", which is the title of the book. I am currently getting funds together to publish the book. Not just that, but when the books take, I will change so much more. History is for us to create, I know where I want to be.
