Persistence wins

I tried my best, I tried and failed 
I tried my best, To no prevail 
I tried hard, And tried again
Always lost, I tried to win 
I tried harder, I tried once more
I didn't give up, My tries adored 
I tried alas, alas I tried
The evidence, my broken smile 
I tried beyond ability
I tried and tried, And failed to see 
I tried fearsome, I tried with shame
I tried maliciously, With selfish aim
I tried for me, For no one else
I tried with greed, Gave back no help
I tried unhappy, Discontent 
I succeeded malevolence 
I tried wonders, Miracles
I laughed at thee impossible
I began to try, oh positive 
My success was a reflection of,
My persistence
I kept it up, I kept on trying, 
Like I should.
