Not everybody has to like me
I am who I am
and I’ll change only
for who I’m meant to be.

Not everybody needs a reason
 to go from my life as they please.
Not everybody needs to tell me
“do not count on me.”

Not everybody has a place
my brain is thinking of
and not everybody is the sun
I am circling around.

Let it not be only
for my future
but also for the future
of those who follow.

Let it not be
for the future I desire
but for the future
that I deserve,
for the future
I was made for.

The past tense of its existence
the lying breath it took
never to be seen again
the last thing on which it looked.

The shining in its eyes is fading
drank the poison, bottoms up!
But still it’s live and kicking,
what’s the holdup?

It’s locked in the darkness
looking for its yen
never breathing, never smiled,
never did anything again.

Hated or loved,
it’s always the two,
stuck in the trenches,
no matter what you do.

Keep me alarmed,
don’t let me fall apart,
look at me,
I’m back at the start.

Hated or loved,
doesn’t matter what you are,
soon the end will come,
by exploding star.
