Poem -

Slam That Gate

stopped he dead at twelve and
twenty never knowing breath to
spare, found he gods in fairy
kingdoms never knowing of them
there, dont cry mama dont cry
papa, baby's gone to all things
great, look he's crowned with
badge of honour baby never
showed up late, walk with priests
and hold to pious, god will make
your tears dry, do not stop and do
not question, yours is not to know
The Why
dont cry mama dont cry papa
Baby's gone to all things great
Never yours and no more real
Close your hearts and slam
That Gate.

My dear Marion, incredibly powerful, your language reminds me of  Caribbean lands this saturday night. The saddest of sad poems brings so many emotions and pains to the reader. You have a magnificent gift of using your words, and you are one of the most unique writers I've had the honour to meet and read in a very long while. Your pain is your readers pain. The cure is to share. 🌹

I think now i understand how you can write about pain as if you and pain are inseparable and created a bond that even Time cannot easy. Perhaps love can! May the love you feel form a bond with you so strong that it will break the chains of your pain. Please accept my hug.
P.S.  As wise Shirley says, “The cure is to share.”
