LIFE UNDER THE MUSHROOM CLOUD

Wars, rumors of wars, pestilences, Diseases, and droughts
To name a few calamities without a doubt
A world enshrouded in fear, crippled hopes and dreams
Of people living in despair.

Hatred, division, racism, and pride
Continue to fuel the destruction of societies worldwide
The skies were clear now darkened by the echoes of war
The rumble of explosions near and far.

The sirens wailing night and day
Drones and planes falling from the air
Families Buried Alive under concrete rubble and steel
The new way of life, but war's not repealed.

Nuclear weapons eager to fly, fingers on edge
Ready to destroy innocent lives
The mushroom clouds taking form in the air
Only the heavens know the horror that awaits.

But amidst the chaos,
A glimmer of hope still shines,
In the hearts of those who dream,
Of peace and love entwined.

So let us band together,
And rise above the hate,
And rebuild a world of beauty,
Where the mushroom cloud dissipates.
