Seeking the approval of those with an unfulfilled thirst 
Many lost their lives trying to define their worth.

Likes and views rule the day 
A man's tongue is unbridled, spewing filth along the way 
Slaves they have become to this algorithm game 
Seeking approval, chasting fleeting fame.

A scrolling feed of curated perfection
Views and likes are the new form of connection
A facade of validation that fades with time 
Leaving an emptiness of heart and a frustrated mind.

The real value lies in what we do,
