SHE SAID YES

For too long, I've been dreaming of this day
Then confidence and courage came my way 
I got on my knees and looked her in the eyes 
As I opened the little box with a big surprise.

All my life, I've been searching for someone like you
Someone that I can spend the rest of my life with 
Regardless of what life put us through.

Never will I turn my back on you,
 As I promise to love, cherish,
And always respect the person that is you.

When she said yes, the world seemed to pause
My heart skipped a beat, filled with applause
Her eyes sparkled with love so true
A moment so perfect, a dream come true

Her smile lit up the room like the sun
I knew at that moment that she was the one
The stars aligned, and the universe blessed
Standing on my feet, 
My heart filled with joy races in my chest.

When she said yes, my soul soared high
A love so pure, it could touch the sky
I am grateful for her charm, love, and grace,
No one else in this world can ever take her place.
