Poem -

Engaging the wind

Three times
the wrapper blew past
I wondered who'd thrown it
and where they were now

If they'd enjoyed

All its wrapped up delights

if they ate it in daytime
or maybe at night

Did they know that I sat here
Engaging the wind
hair to the skyline and eyes
chasing clues

Or the pointlessness felt
Of the mess we all are
of how each tiny trace
of the self blows, so far far

away
