~ Where True Strength Is Forged ~

When I dare to play in the ether
I find my spirit is not my only keeper....
It is in the misty haze
Of the metaphysical
In the ontological
Where one stares into the soul
Of his own potential
Where his gifts from the gods
Are more than eyes essential
But golden grace
Bestowed upon the seeker
Where one lets go of that soul
And glides
Upon the wings of faith
Where true strength is forged
From deep within the kilns
Of original life force
Where understanding
Becomes more than just
The self-righteous self
But the doors of perception
Through which
The glorious effort
Of merging with the light
And facing the gods
Evolutionary cycle
Where truly knowing
Becomes
The knowing that you
Are so much more
Than what reality's
Indoctrination
Would have you believe
For certainly
We carry the light
Of the creator....

It's so hard to build a structured and impenetrable mind when I feel bombarded with information, visions, entities that appear in my dreams.
What to believe?
Even I am duality, a two sided coin that never lands on light or dark.
Sometimes I pray and receive knowledge from a higher self and sometimes I am met with my own self, telling me to kill myself.
Your poetry Tony, gives me hope, thank you.
Perhaps we were moulded from the same cloth NE... your thoughts are mine exactly x
'The Power of One.' A Great Write. 🔥
He' s Back
Hi Tony, I feel this work is about the never ending journey we all take, at some point, be it whilst alive or dead. The age old question of what it means to be alive, human, the point of us at all. The point of anything. I think you write from the view point of having already searched, found a
personal peace perhaps? That is inspiring to me ... the fact that you dedicated it to me I find wonderful. Thankyou so much my friend. I am on a similar journey as you know. A deep and intense write. A fabulous write. Hugs x
Hi Tony,
Your usual ethereal self
which lifts us all along
and there's no one that
can match your song.
Love,
Terry.
Hi Tony
beautiful poem and a powerful ending .
you left me a comment on here when I was every young . It was very encouraging and insightful. I completely forgot the name of this website . I continued to write as a way of therapy often throwing the work away after as if to realise it .
I always remember your comment . I tried for around 5 years to member the sight name and I’ve found it 😊
thank you Tony , for you great work and also you comment all them years ago .
love Courtney
The first time I read this I was either in a different mood I am right now, or too much in haste. I see it with different eyes now. Like…
“Where understanding
Becomes more than just
The self-righteous self
But the doors of perception
Through which
The glorious effort
Of merging with the light…”
This is deep, Tony, and I really like
the way you put it. I think you were in meditation when you wrote this.

"As above, so below. As within, so without." Your poem brought these words (from Doreen Valiente, I think) into my mind. Everything is cyclic. And there needs to be a balance (the universe likes balance). I don't have much time for organised religions... but I do have faith — of a kind.
I love this poem, Tony. Awesome work — as always x
