A surrender to the current is easy.
One must be very brittle, pliant to mold and shape, almost bendable to will.
As a pointed finger is to the touch of a ripple in water,
and the ripple in water is to the pointed finger’s touch.
Embodying the fickle nature of viscerality,
which conjures an alchemy of openness and yielding,
essential to the marrow of affection.

The gentility with which one must entrench within themselves should, hence,
make their temper a budding light—
uneasy to provoke and easily subdued.
So efficiently flimsy and whimsical in existence,
when in proximity to the object of affection
that draws out the heart’s desire,

Igniting a fire—
This time—
one that cannot be quenched.

For the surrender is something done to you:
a feeling so eclipsing of the soul
which, in its very nature,
seeks to resist its pull.
Yet like a puppet being led by a string—
unravelling to reveal more infinite layers within…
Still, it thrives.
Therefore you must let it.
