Poem -
TIME TO MOVE ON
Cosmofunnel has who knows how many members
but there are only a few who contribute, who anyone remembers.
Comments are the lifeblood of a site like this
but there must be hundreds who read and just dismiss.
One hundred, two hundred read a poem and say nothing.
Did they get to the end or will the writer always be wondering.
And these comments need to be more than just a duty done,
a meaningless word or two then quickly move on.
Who knows whether they have read the poem or not.
They are comments that could have been made by a bot.
I take joy in commenting, encouraging, trying to understand
but here may not be where my future lies as I seek out a different land.

These writes about comments and things like that...
Some people get inspired and carry it with them...
Some people don't say anything at all but, it doesn't mean they don't like it or it could be at the time it doesn't resonate...
Whatever the reason...
If you're writing for fame, applause, something to get for yourself...
You're right it can be disappointing...
Some people write or share Art because, it helps them inside and maybe they have a personal mission to touch a heart a day...
Maybe, they write and they look at the World for their own viewing pleasure to possibly see they're actually making a difference...
Some do for the bad side of life...
Some for the good...
If it's followers you're after some don't follow because, they're walking with you...
If you need to move to a Platform that tells you everything you want to hear...
You will be missed but, you have to do what is best for you...
If it's you, you're trying to please...

I am not after fame, applause or followers. What I find somewhat discincerting is that the same names appear all the time on comments, likes and stars awarded. Yet a poem can be read by 500 plus people. Why are they on a site like this if they don't want to contribute?
And I do think that what keeps a site like this going are the comments.
I agree there is much that is fake out there.
I stand by what I said in my poem and I thank you so much for your reaction to it.
