Poem -

IF....

If every road leads nowhere
And every heart must break
If every love must leave us
If every soul must ache
If every joy is transient
And memory fades away
If bones grow old and crumble
In earth to ever lay
If every sun must leave us
To make way for a moon
And moon has only hours
To shine away the gloom
If all the rain is rebirthed just
To fall again as rain
Would I still beg tomorrow?

I would.      Despite the pain.
