Poem -

scared looks

scared looks

i am scared about your looksĀ
those eyes you have on meĀ

i am scared about your lipsĀ
those words you speak to meĀ

as love so gently smooths itself outĀ
and today we talk and laugh out loudĀ

yet i am scared about the ways you took to meĀ
your silent heart as it jumps from love to loveĀ

i often say i will love you like love is meant to beĀ

but i am scared about your love as it loves yourself to meĀ
as i wait in this love of faith to love you again and again
