Poem -
1920s GANGSTER
Curses and damn what have I done?Ā
I fired a bullet from my smoking gun
So many things are swimming in my headĀ
As Jimmy Mac lay stone cold deadĀ
The judge sentenced me to a lifetime in jailĀ
I look back on that October day as an epic failĀ
I took out Jimmy Mac and ended his lifeĀ
I had no thoughts about his family and wifeĀ
This was not the only killing of Chicago 1920Ā
Murders and killings were many and plentyĀ
Before all you people start to moan and groanĀ
You have to remember my boss was Al Capone

I've lived in CHICAGO on/off for many years.....I have visited the 'Ā St, Valentines Day' Massacre site several times!!........Ā North side vs. South side type gangster mentality still exists there to this day!!Ā You've done a great job capturing its essence here in poetic form!!......ALL STARS!!..... well done brother poet!!.....
